Loeb, Block & Partners LLP was founded in the late 1930s by René Loeb. René came to New York from Strasbourg, France, with extensive experience in the private banking business and a passion for serving international clients in the United States. He was soon joined by Charles J. Block and Leonard Wacksman, and together they successfully began a practice representing European clients who left Europe for Latin America and Asia prior to World War II. Since then, the firm has steadily grown in size and scope, continually adjusting to our clients’ evolving needs, while at the same time deliberately maintaining a firm size conducive to fostering personal client relationships.
As an international private client boutique firm, Loeb Block represents a diverse set of ultra-high net worth individuals, families and family offices, as well as trustees and other fiduciaries, worldwide, in tax-efficient structuring, corporate and finance matters, international and U.S. estate and succession planning and global regulatory and tax compliance. As leaders in our field, we coordinate with financial advisors and legal, accounting and tax professionals all over the world to further the interests of our clients.
Your trust is our mission- one that we do not take lightly. Our attorneys act as confidential advisors to our clients in virtually all matters, championing their interests and offering candid, creative solutions. Our commitment to our clients is built to last a lifetime – and beyond.
